strobe set Want to learn all there is to know about light and speedlites in particular? Become a strobist! It's an excellent way to understand light and thereby become a better photographer.

In short: a strobist uses speedlites to lighten every object, but mostly forms any scene. He or she uses simple, home made or bought means and simple (cheap) speedlites.

This form of photography has been around for decades, but has become more popular since photography became digital. In the old days people had to wait for the results and a chance to correct untill the film had been developed...

Excellent sources to learn more about this subject are 'Strobist blog' (in English) and 'Strobist magazine' (in Dutch)
